SUMMER 2023:
New swimmers are asked to come for swim assessment and to meet our coaches next week 4/3-5/4 , Monday- Thursday 5:40 pm-8:00pm. Come try out one day or all week with the team and see what the Amberjacks Family is all about!!
**We can accept swimmers from all cities and towns not just Chicopee.
New Families: Please note this is a competitive swim team. We will teach your swimmer all the strokes, however, any new swimmer must be able to already swim the full length of the pool twice unassisted.
Returning swimmers Practice will begin Monday 4/3 , there will be two practice sessions 5:40-6:40 pm and 6:45-8:00 pm Monday through Thursday.
We will be swimming at Chicopee High School this season. Practices are held Monday through Thursday unless there is a holiday week or no school. Coaches will assign practice times. Any moves will be determined by the coaches at that time. The above is subject to change depending on how many swimmers we have join this season, as we may need to move/add additional practice times.
Registration Fee and Season Dues (subject to change):
- 1st Swimmer = $250 (+$50 Refundable Registration*)
- 2nd Swimmer = $225 (+$50 Refundable Registration*)
- 3rd Swimmer = $200 (+$50 Refundable Registration*)
- USA Swimmers $200 per swimmer (+$50 Refundable Registration*) Note: multi-swimmer discounts do not apply for USA Swimmers
*Registration is **REFUNDABLE** and is due on or before the first day swimmers return to the pool, this registration will be considered refundable after season dues are paid in full and the minimum volunteer requirements are met per swimmer for the current season.
We have an installment plan for season fees available on our Installments tab above.
You will see our Paypal link once registration is complete or you can access the link from our website home page. If you do not have PayPal, you can pay by cash or check at the first practice.
*All swimmers must be paid in full TWO WEEKS before Championships week (tentatively 7/15-16). If
you are not paid in full by then your swimmer will not be able to
participate. Any outstanding dues will need to be paid prior to
participating in another season.
The PVSL is still in the process of determining Meet dates and we will have those for you as soon as we can. The schedule will be out on our website once we have it.
Amberjacks will be hosting the next Stroke & Turn Clinic in the Fall, enrollment will limited, so once we post you will want to register fast.
These clinics SELL OUT QUICK!!
This 5 week clinic focuses on technique and form to help a swimmer become legal in all 4 strokes and turns. The past clinics have proven to help our swimmers with their times and help eliminate disqualification from their events.
Cost is only TBD and payment can be made either through PayPal or at the pool on the 1st day of clinic by check or cash.
While there is no age requirement for this clinic, swimmers must have at least one year of competitive swimming experience to participate.
Clinic typically run Monday-Thursday 6:00-7:30 pm, unless it falls on a holiday, school is closed, or a weather related closure. While attending all 4 days is not a requirement it is strongly encouraged as each day will progress from the previous day.
Swimmers will need to bring the following: Towel, Goggles, Swim cap, Swim Suit, water bottle. Bring swim fins if you have them. Female swimmers must be wearing a one piece bathing suit.
